Andre Le Geyt – Maori Health Manager
No Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Apa, Jersey Islands me Tipperary ahau; so I am of Māori, French and Irish descent. I am one of 5 siblings born and raised in Ahuriri (Napier). My wife and I have a whānau of 8 children and 9 moko.
I have a background in population health, Whānau Ora and Māori health management and strategy. Currently I provide project management expertise, leadership and direction across Health Hawke’s Bay to support the achievement of organisational strategy, including equitable health outcomes for our under-served and un-served populations in primary care settings.
I am passionate about Māori development. For me, the end game is to gain equality of opportunity and achievement for Māori in Aotearoa/New Zealand.
